About the Course

This course is the first of a series that aims to teach you the foundational skills in Salesforce that will prepare you for a variety of entry-level sales roles, including the sales operations specialist position. This course is designed for beginners. No previous experience in Salesforce, sales, or CRM is necessary to be successful. In this course, you will be introduced to essential concepts like the fundamentals of the sales process. You'll also learn about what Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are and what they are used for, you'll dive into Salesforce's main products and their use cases, and you will gain a working knowledge of the key functionalities of the Salesforce Sales Cloud that help support a business’s growth. This course is the first step in your learning journey with Salesforce. It will provide you with the foundation you need to go into depth with more advanced Salesforce tools taught later in the certificate, and ultimately launch your new career. This was a very useful and informative course for anyone interested in learning the basics of CRM principles. The reading materials are interesting and well-presented. The course has very informative slides that you can download or copy for your own personal notes. I have taken many courses on Coursera and often find that note-taking is a difficult task. This course spent time preparing the learning materials and they are worthy of keeping for future reference. Once the course introduces the Trailhead learning platform, the course changes quite a bit, as you are now completing SalesForce learning modules and veriying your badges into the Coursera course. The Trailhead platform is robust, so I expect the additional classes in this specialization to become increasingly more difficult.

Overall, solid course as an entry point into what a CRM is - I was able to churn through quickly and found the introduction to the Trailhead to be quite helpful. I hope that future courses in this series will surface Trailhead activities as foundational learning opportunities.

Such an amazing course, but the reason why I give it only 4, is because it's too much reading instead of video lectures that make it easier to understand and easier to focus and not get distracted. I hope the next courses are not gonna be the same in this certificate.

A good introduction to CRM and Salesforce and a good way to understand the people involved in the Sales process and the benefits of a CRM for mangaing your lead, contacts and accounts and feeding your sales pipeline.

I loved the course, However, when it came to doing the modules in trailhead, it took almost 48 hours for coursa to recognize they were complete.. I wish that was a little easier.
