This was a well-designed and delivered course. I learned so much about leading EDI initiatives and reflecting on my own thoughts about how to apply EDI strategies in my own unit at the college.

I really enjoyed the inclusion of the covering HBCUs during this course. That was an unexpected and welcomed area of content. This course was very inspiring and I learned so much!

I really appreciated the videos, readings, and the reflection activities each week. I feel like I got a lot out of the course! It was sometimes unclear to me which discussion thread I should work in-when there were multiple listed with the same heading and different dates--sometimes the dates didn't seem to line up with the dates for that week--but that was the only piece that threw me sometimes. Other than that the course was very easy to follow. Thank you!

Excellent course, especially the masterful instructor Dr. John C. Burkhardt. I am very glad I took this course and will watch several of the videos again. I learned far more than I expected. Every leader in higher ed should take this course. A few areas for improvement: Some of the readings are way too long and of questionable value. Some material needs to be updated to stay current with the latest DEIA issues. The platform "Coursera" was clunky.

The peer assessment piece is a pain. I completed this course a few days ago but because 4 people have not reviewed my project, I cannot officially complete the course to receive my certificate. And I need the certificate for the jobs I am applying to.

Great intro course and awesome practical suggestions to improve EDI in your own institution. Especially good content addressing issues of race and racism within higher education in a North American context.

This was a useful introductory course. It could be improved by adding current research, current stories, and current changes in policy and practice.

Great course and content, however, I am unable to receive my certificate because of a peer-graded assignment that was never graded by my peers!

Great information and instructor. My only comment would be to update some course materials (one reading mentioned the use of CD ROMS)

Some of the links appear to be outdated or no longer link to anything, but the course content was very valuable. Thank you.

Very informative course with useful knowledge about diversity and equity. The course was well organised and introduced from the historical stories about diversity and equity in higher education. Although there are so many readings, the tools and knowledge introduced in the course were very effective.

The course started strongly, with some important discussions, but the latter half of the course was USA-centred, and had limited relevance for anyone not from the USA.

This class was horrible.
Besides the fact that it is fundamentally at odds with the goal of higher education, the assignments were jokes. Only the last assignment even resembled an real project.
A waste of time. I tried to go into this course with an open mind and was disappointed even then. This reminds me of those classes they divert athletes into so they can focus on playing their sport instead of learning things.

I am only about an hour into week 1 and I just can't go any further. I've taken MOOC's before but this is completely unengaging.
