Good introductory networking class, with short simple labs

This specialization covers the fundamentals of networking within modern computing infrastructure. IT infrastructure has shifted towards software-oriented networks and cloud-based services, changing the roles of engineers. The specialization begins with Network Systems Principles to establish a foundation. Whether you have prior experience or not, this section will be beneficial. Next, we focus on two key areas: Linux Networking and Cloud Networking. In Linux Networking, you'll learn to build network infrastructure using Linux, applicable to switches, routers, and containerized infrastructure like Kubernetes. In Cloud Networking, you'll explore network abstractions in the cloud and understand the underlying infrastructure of cloud providers. By the end, you'll be equipped to create complex networked applications in the cloud and effectively troubleshoot them. This course can be taken for academic credit as part of CU Boulder’s Masters of Science in Computer Science (MS-CS) degrees offered on the Coursera platform. Very instructional, the exercises test what you should have learned, you also learn some details of vagrant, containers, and docker; requires a good working knowledge of Linux (1-2 months experience)

It was ok - he didn't say what a lot of the acronyms are, which was inconvenient as I had to look them up separately. The programming assignments were interesting but I felt a little thrown into the deep end compared to the material offered in the courses. I thought that the instructor could explain the slides a bit more in depth rather than reading them off.
Fantastic course! Homework assignments (weeks 2,3,4) are challenging and relevant to practice. Course feels more like a review: material covered is quite high level and lots of details not covered. Recommend to pair this with a more detailed undergraduate course in Computer Networking.

absolutely no training on how to write python script with Scapy. I have no previous knowledge of how to do this and am looking to build a foundational base but I'm not provided that with this course.
Good course, but I had trouble to finish the final assignments. I expected a lesson about the libraries and applications used in the assignments as Scapy, OpenSSL.
Great professor, great material. It was all laid out in a way that can help me better understand what goes on in each layer and how they work together. The coursework was amazing! I really loved how the programming assignments allowed me to better visualize different concepts covered! To sum it all up, go back to the first four words of this review.
The instructor's explanations are very clear, and their delivery is polite. It's a high-quality course that lets you learn thoroughly from the basics. If you've dabbled in Python a bit, you should be able to follow along without any trouble.
The requirements on the Max Bytes in Flight lab were not very clear, but overall the course was great and helped refresh the topics I learned in my undergraduate networking course.
