This three-course Specialization develops practical healthcare project management skills to help you lead projects from initiation through evaluation and sustainment. You’ll learn to identify project opportunities, define goals and success measures, analyze stakeholders, and create project charters that establish a strong foundation for success.
You’ll build skills in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, communication, risk management, and performance monitoring. You’ll also learn how to support implementation, drive adoption of new processes and technologies, evaluate outcomes using meaningful metrics, and sustain improvements over time.
Using a single hospital scenario across all three courses, the Specialization connects project management concepts to realistic healthcare challenges. By the end, you’ll be able to plan, execute, evaluate, and sustain healthcare projects using practical tools and frameworks to improve operations, quality, and patient outcomes.
Applied Learning Project
This Specialization includes hands-on exercises that apply project management concepts to realistic healthcare scenarios. The Healthcare Project Management Capstone brings together the full project lifecycle, from idea to sustainability. In the capstone, you will apply the concepts, tools, and frameworks learned throughout the specialization to a real or realistic healthcare project of your choice.
