This Specialization explores practical approaches to effective supervision. It focuses on the core skills required to lead individuals and teams with clarity, consistency and confidence in modern working environments.
You'll begin by building strong supervisory foundations, including how to set clear expectations, define roles, prioritise effectively and delegate work in a structured way. You'll also learn how to use simple tools and routines, such as KPIs, one-to-one meetings and regular check-ins, to guide performance and maintain accountability.
As you progress, you'll develop the skills to manage performance in practice. This includes delivering actionable feedback, coaching individuals to improve, understanding behavioural drivers and using structured conversations to support change. You'll also explore how to apply fair, ethical and consistent decision-making when addressing performance challenges.
In the final course, you'll learn how to handle more complex supervisory situations. You'll build confidence in managing conflict, leading difficult conversations and supporting team wellbeing. You'll also explore how to supervise effectively in remote and hybrid environments, while maintaining engagement, inclusion and psychological safety.
By the end of this Specialization, you'll have a practical toolkit of supervisory techniques, which enable you to improve team performance, support individuals effectively and lead with confidence in a range of workplace situations.
