Offers a decent overview and introduces helpful automation tools. I also liked, that it's not based on multiple choice tests, but real submissions and reviewing other submissions.
This course teaches how to create a strong online accessibility compliance program using the online Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). You'll learn how to conduct audits with industry-leading tools like Lighthouse and Axe, prioritize and resolve accessibility concerns, and create compliance roadmaps that correspond with corporate objectives. Real-world case studies from global companies such as the BBC, Apple, and Gov.uk will help you grasp tactics that combine automation, usability, and compliance. This course is designed for professionals involved in the creation, management, and oversight of digital content and websites. It’s ideal for web developers, designers, UX/UI professionals, compliance officers, legal teams, content creators, and digital marketers. Business and project managers responsible for digital initiatives will also benefit from understanding how to integrate accessibility best practices into their workflows. To get the most out of this course, learners should have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and general web development. Prior exposure to accessibility principles or an introductory web accessibility course is helpful but not required. The course is structured to provide practical knowledge and tools, even for those newer to the subject. By the end of this course, learners will be able to assess digital content for WCAG compliance using accessible tools and checklists, identify common accessibility issues, and develop practical solutions to address them. They will also be equipped to advise stakeholders on integrating sustainable accessibility practices into ongoing digital projects.

This was a wonderfully structured course that included accessibility compliance, tools, and audits to form a concise introduction to WCAG. I loved it and would highly recommend it.

Got a good overview of the process of auditing, but I think the course could examine the actual WCAG guidelines a little more closely to give learners more familiarity with what the guidelines consist of, and what the success criteria are, and why they are designed that way. The final project is way too advanced and covers a lot of things were not even mentioned in the course, and is based on a hypothetical company without hardly any context. I think a more focused, hands-on project of an actual company/website, with clearly defined parameters and context would be much more useful. Also, there was a lot of focus on categorizing according to POUR principles, but that seems rather pointless, as POUR principles are not directly analogous to severity, with severity being highly context-specific. Besides, the WCAG Success Criteria are already organized by POUR, so you know if it's a 1.1.4 failure, that's a Perceptibility issue. Overall a decent intro into the topic, but could be majorly improved with a few changes.
