This course explores water as a natural resource and an essential part of communities, economies, and business operations. You’ll begin with the water cycle, including how surface water and groundwater are connected, then build on that foundation to explore water security, supply chain risks, and corporate water stewardship.

You’ll examine how water-related decisions are influenced by corporate practices, government policies, municipal planning, laws, and economic factors. You’ll also explore how scenario planning can help communities and organizations prepare for changing conditions and competing demands. By the end, you’ll be better equipped to recognize water-related risks, understand the factors behind water management decisions, consider the needs of different stakeholders, and contribute to informed and responsible approaches to water use and stewardship.
