About the Course

In this course, you will explore the importance of self awareness and feedback, as well as issues such as bias and imposter syndrome. As a leader, it is important to know when to step in and lead, as well as how to establish boundaries and resolve conflict. This course will equip you with these fundamental leadership skills and will also help you develop your ability to influence others (including your “boss”), measure your impact and enhance your resilience. This course is aimed at leaders and managers who have five to six years experience and who are beginning to manage teams, customers and clients more regularly or more directly. A majority of those taking this course will have a technical or professional early career, but are progressing professionally so are starting to grapple with the issues of team and organisational leadership. By the end of this course, you will be able to: – Identify how you are perceived by your colleagues as leaders. – Make better decisions about when to step in, and when to stand back, as a leader and how to work with conflict as a productive force. – Explain how to lead and support your boss to both achieve your goals in your respective leadership positions. – Manage your energy to be seen as a positive, influential leader....

I've taken more than a dozen leadership/management specializations, and this is by far the most comprehensive and balances well between theory and reflection. Highly recommended!

This course offers an impressive array of thought-provoking reflection questions that truly challenge and stimulate the mind. The questions require ample time for deep contemplation, encouraging participants to delve into the complexities of leadership. It would be beneficial to consider renaming the course to better reflect its advanced level, as it caters to current leaders seeking to enhance their skills. Additionally, in these turbulent times, it might be advisable to remove any references to the term "boss," as it may not resonate well with individuals who prefer more collaborative and inclusive leadership approaches.

If only I had taken such a course years ago! The content is really useful for those in leadership roles. Through this course, it helped me understand myself better (through the psychometric test), the importance of delegation (thanks to the "Who's Got The Monkey" article), better communication interactions with my boss, and managing conflict.

I found this course very interesting, but It would help me more if there were more practical examples on the topic discussed on week 2 and week 3 let's say someone from company had an conflict how did it resolve it, what can we learn from that, or to show us some fragments of a Youtube video or a film to analyze that, Great course i will recommend it.
