I learned a lot! It was an extensive course that takes a good amount of effort. When you come out on the other side, you feel fantastic about what you learned!

This is a comprehensive JavaScript course. The lab practices further my understanding of the concepts explained by the instructors.

I am stuck with this course as I was working on it when Meta was transitioning from the 10 course react native specialisation to a streamlined 8 course react native specialisation. Now I finished the course but it is not counted as a finished course in the 8 course of react native specialisation. I cannot delete or restart this course because: I already did the course. Meta staff is already ignoring me for 2 weeks as I explain my situation in every forum of every week of this course.
I get no reply. No help. No solution. Nothing, meanwhile I cannot finish the react native specialisation.

Poorly implemented exercises, quizzes, and answers. Good information recap but as it is currently, this course cannot be completed as one of the quizzes has a 1 minute timer. I was able to keep track of answers as they are permutations, and eventually finish it. Keep in mind some of questions have incorrect answers. I'm not sure if the front-end certification has a better JS course, but this one is not good. The forums are also empty, as this class is not transited. And no mobile development is covered. Please save your money until the issues are resolved. Also some quizzes have the most mundane questions (and this is saying something), they essentially ask: Did you get the topic? Yes or No. No mastery is questioned.

The WORST course I ever found on Coursera, there are many errors in the quiz.

I did this course only because it is part of the Meta Android Developer Professional Certificate, but I've developed JS apps for at least 6 years. Of course, I thought this would be the easiest course of the certification, but then I started getting bad results in the quizzes. "Everybody makes mistakes", I thought, so I checked the feedback of those quizzes to see what I could learn. To my surprise, I noticed that some of the answers marked as incorrect were obviously correct. "Everybody makes mistakes", I thought again, this time to justify the Meta team. But the problem became recurring and with multiple questions, and in every single quiz (or at least most of them). That was really, really annoying. Given my previous experience working with JS, I could handle all that, but then I thought about people who are new to JS and how confusing this course can be. So, I definitely don't recommend it. The material is really good, but the theoretical quizzes are poorly reviewed

They need to fix the tests. They have questions where all 4 options are wrong.
Along with the questions that they just didn't check, a lot of the questions are just bad. Sometimes the options don't mention the most relevant or important piece of information that would answer the question. I think they're worried that you'll be able to Google answers, so they don't want to give a question that would come up early in a search for the topic. It's very frustrating though since it benefits nobody, folks who want to game the test will still game the test. Folks who want to learn don't get relevant information tested and reinforced.
If you need to take this as a part of the Meta Android Developer good luck, hopefully they update it. Otherwise take a better JavaScript class elsewhere.

The course has been made poorly. The module quizes are broken (it seems they have been broken for a while and still have not been fixed): sometimes the wrong answer marked as right, sometimes there is no right answer in the list. Also the one missing whitespace in the output in the final programming assignment would make almost all the tests fail. And you'll have it when you will copy and paste the expected output text for console.output() from the task in readme.

The course quizzes are not well maintained by the Meta instructors or moderators. All of my correct answers in the module 2 graded quiz are marked as incorrect even though it is correct and due to which i failed the module. Everyone is complaining about this problem in the discussion forum since last year but still no actions has been taken by the Meta.

The quiz and assignment are terrible! There are so many code snippets with syntax errors, and many questions give the wrong answers. I run the code and select the answer which match my output, but I cannot earn the points. This course just want to scam your money, make you longer in the process so they can earn more subscription fee.

The course is quite interesting, but it's discouraging that the assessments are incorrect, marking correct questions as incorrect. This problem has persisted for many months!

Material in the quizzes is inaccurate. Course content is solid but the quizzes are full of bugs.

There is great content in this course, but the series is plagued by assignment and quiz questions that are incomplete, inconsistent, or wrong. A thorough review of the graded material would move the rating up significantly. As it is, the graded material detracts terribly from the quality of the course.

There is surely a wealth of good information in the course but I wasted a ridiculous amount of time having to go through the assignments repeatedly because of the errors and bugs in their grading system. Considering that I'm paying for a course on effective programming, it was immensely frustrating to be given 0 marks for various questions, even when the description would state 'that's correct!'. I would then receive less than the 80% pass mark and have to repeat the whole assignment, having to select random incorrect answers and hope for the best because the correct ones weren't accepted. If you get a mark under 80% 3 times in a row you have to wait 24 hours to try again. What a total joke.

Not a good course, with lots of repeated content, but the worst thing is that the grading system for most of the quices is a disaster, questions marked as wrong but the feedback saying "That's correct!", and a lot of multiple choice questions with the wrong answer selected as correct.

A lot of mistakes in the quizes which makes it tough to pass as you have to guess the right answers they have given, rather than selecting the actual right answer

The answers of assignments are wrong. You will fail assignments multiple times due to it. However, the quality of content is good.

Firstly, almost all the training materials were immediately marked as completed (except for the introduction and recap). This is probably because I already took a Java scripting course in another specialization, but why should I pay for it again? Moreover, all the tests and labs that count towards my grades were not completed, and I had to retake them all. Why should I waste time on this again? I can't comment on the quality of the training materials, as I didn't retake them. But the tests are simply terrible, with tons of errors that haven't been corrected for a long time. Moreover, the same situation applies to other Meta courses.

There are good labs given in this course BUT the huge downside of this course is the tests which contain a huge amount of errors, which made passing the course very delayed. It is very frustrating when you give really correct answers because you have experience in this field for more than three years, but the person who made the tests as if he has no experience in this at all

This was a pretty robust course! I not only learned the syntax of JavaScript, but how programming paradigms like functional programming and Object Oriented Programming differ. I also learned about another aspect of software engineering — Test-Driven Development. I was aware of the importance of testing code before, but this methodology for developing software has definitely left me curious and eager to try out what I've learned!

What A Course !!!!! I've struggled with this course the most, and find it the hardest one of all courses I have done, but with the right mindset I've achived my goal and finished it successfully. Thanks to coursera and meta for this opportunities.

the best course so far regarding that this is a course or being an iOS app developer but it was full o useful and powerful into one thing that I din't like is that there are questions that are marked incorrect while they are correct.
