Great course for people who have no clue how utilities and microgrids work. Take this class if you're considering diving deeper into concepts like green energy, regulation and distributed generation.

Exceptionally informative for someone new to the Utility industry. Very engaging, especially for complex content. Melissa is excellent! Quiz material is fair. Videos are high production value.

Overall a very good introductory course.

Easy to follow and course instructor is really good.

Few things could be improved:

a. Course content update required as per current scenario.

b. Electric utility market structure should be explained in more detail.

The course is great for an introduction to electric utilities. It is more focused on the electric utilities in the US and it might not be very relatable for students of other countries. I would have preferred some reading material along with the videos.

The course is good introductory course. I had expected more rigorous and in-depth discussion on regulatory aspects of electricity utilities and challenges due to integration of renewables.

It was great for me as a newcomer. During the course and research related, I did notice it is becoming outdated as things have continued to transform over the past 6-7 years.

Great lecturer and approach. I wish the course would go beyond the scope of American utilities and regulations.

It's more connected to US laws and regulations. It should have also focussed on other countries in general.

I got what I was looking for -- an overview of the electric utility industry from the utility's point of view. One call out was the reference to the uility survey of 2016. Looking at that survey followed by the subsequent surveys provides insight into how the thinking is evolving.

As a point to follow up on, many of the links from each lecture were no longer valid.

Several of the exam questions are misleading or simply wrong. Also, some content, especially related to the affordability of energy storage, is not up-to-date as of 2023. This course could be better taught by someone with an academic background and/or deeper knowledge of the subject.
