The course delivers what it promises. Although R is not necessary to advance through the course, you can still learn a few things as you go and be well-equipped to move forward.

Basics of R and other sub-topics need to be introduced before the topic is taken up in a video.

It is a very nice course. Very useful for learning basics of Financial Analytics. Prof. Kim's sessions were very nice.

Totally disjointed from the rest of the coursework and the specialty in general. I would not take this course unless you are working specifically in data analytics (and R). From an MBA perspective it is not a good course or a good specialty. Very poorly put together.
