Prof. Dr. Schönenberger has a distinguished career in entrepreneurship and technology, primarily associated with the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Since 2020, he has served as Vice President of Entrepreneurship at TUM and since 2019, as an Honorary Professor for Entrepreneurship Practice at the TUM School of Management. He has been a Supervisory Board Member of the German Energy Agency (dena) since 2017 and co-founded Unternehmertum Venture Capital Partners GmbH in 2011 and UnternehmerTUM GmbH in 2000, the latter being one of the world's leading entrepreneurship centers. Academically, he earned a Ph.D. in Economics from TUM in 2005 and a Diploma in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart in 1998, having completed internships at notable companies like Qantas Airways and BMW. His accolades include the BayernLB Science Award, the Karl Max von Bauernfeind Medal, and the Werner von Siemens Excellence Award.
