A/Prof Judith McKenzie is a member of the Disability Studies Division at the University of Cape Town in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She is the principal investigator responsible for the Teacher Empowerment for Disability Inclusion (TEDI) project. She has worked in the field of inclusive education for over 20 years and is the mother of a young man with Down Syndrome, causing her to have a deep interest in disability at a personal as well as a professional level.
