Ed Scheinerman is a professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics of the Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He did his undergraduate studies at Brown University and his graduate work in mathematics at Princeton University. He then joined Johns Hopkins where he has done research in discrete mathematics and served in a variety of administrative roles. He is the author of several books including The Mathematics Lover's Companion.
