How to begin your degree journey

There is no formal application process for this degree program. Admission is entirely performance-based. With performance-based admissions, you can skip the process of taking admissions tests, and paying application fees. 
To be admitted to the Master of Information Technology program as a degree-seeking student, you must enroll in and complete all three courses in the performance pathway with a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or better. All pathway courses are part of the core degree curriculum, which means your progress will directly stack toward the full degree.

Getting started on your degree with Open Content

Explore open content courses for this degree program. Enroll in courses that align to the Master of Information Technology curriculum.

Review the upcoming academic calendar and upgrade your courses to for-credit by the next upcoming enrollment date. The upgrading process requires course registration and tuition payment via the Illinois Tech’s Registration Portal.

Upon upgrading, you will need to complete additional course content and/or take a for-credit final assessment to be granted degree credit. Access to additional content and for-credit final assessments will be available in the beginning of the term selected. Courses graded with a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or better will count towards this 100 percent online degree program!
