For most IT professionals, the skills are all you need to succeed. However, if you're looking to level up in your career you might find that a degree will be a requirement to move forward. Illinois Tech has brought its top IT programs from the College of Computing online to Coursera, in an affordable, flexible format.
Bachelor of IT
If you have the skills and the experience but don’t have a bachelor's degree, we recommend exploring the online Bachelor of IT program from Illinois Tech where you can get a foundational look at computing and IT from expert faculty. You will need to transfer at least 61 credits from prior learning, and at least 9 of those can be from professional certificates on Coursera.
Master of IT
If you have a bachelor's degree and are looking to take the next step into IT leadership, we recommend exploring the Master of IT program from Illinois Tech. At only $15,000, this program offers highly competitive tuition and a curriculum aligned to in-demand areas like cybersecurity and cloud computing.
Performance-based Admissions
Both the Bachelor of IT and  Master of IT allow you to skip the formal application process and let performance pave your way to admission. With performance-based admissions, you can skip the process of taking admissions tests, paying application fees, and other hurdles associated with traditional applications.
Below are the three performance-based admissions (PBA) courses for each program. As part of the Bachelor of IT enrollment, you must take and pass Computer and Peripheral Hardware, Computer Networking, and Mobile Computing and Cloud with a B or better. As part of the Master of IT enrollment, you must take and pass Microsoft Windows OS, Linux OS - Masters, and OS Security with a B or better.
