It's a great pleasure to learn how to deal with Operating systems with GUI, Powershell, and Linux. This course is definitely useful for those who wish to become a power user in operating systems.

Great labs, if you do the commands and perform what you are learning while you are going through the program the labs and quizzes are a breeze. Loved the hands on experience. I'm glad I took this.

I loved this course. It challenged me to go back and remember alot of Linux and Powershell commands which I'm not familiar. My only issue were some of the labs and some instructions. Some of the instructions seems a little confusing and the lab itself has it's bugs. I couldn't complete 2 of the labs and just simply moved onto the next lesson.

Deeply analytical and technical course oriented to provide the user the standard hard skills needed to perform IT support activities within a company. Linux Introduction to Bash, use of Microsoft different tools and understanding of the backgrounds of an OS makes this course a "must-have" in your portfolio. Empowering tech support operators!

Overall the course thus far has been very informative. However, I personally would prefer to have all the Windows lessons taught together separately from the Linux lessons. I understand that the intent is to show how something is done in Windows, and then how the same thing is done in Linux, but I think it is more confusing than helpful.

It was explained in very good detail, but i feel like it needed more exercises than supplemental readings. You can read something all day and yes it will help, but feel like this course and all the commands you learn need to be more exercised than read about with more quizzes involving typing in the commands, rather than reading about them.

There were some communication problems, internet outages, and power outages in some laboratories, and I was not able to complete the laboratory on time. Now I'm trying to get into the lab, but unfortunately this message comes up, "Sorry, your quota has been exceeded for this lab". Please help me complete my course thank you so much

There was a lot introduced during this course, but quite few things in the final labs weren't in the classwork (I took extensive notes) or needed to be completed specific ways in order to pass the labs. Tons of others have complained. Some updating is needed. I did, however, learn a lot and am looking forward to the next class.

I think this course overall was well done. The only critique I have is that perhaps for the assesments you could give the students a number of attempts before revealing the correct solution. I understand its done to ensure we get the correct syntax, but being a perfectionist myself I like having the opportunity to do it myself.

The only issue I had a negative with was the labs. The course is great, content relevant and well demonstrated. There is a boat load of reading, but that is part of learning, isn't it. Pay close attention to the difference between command and flags as they require certain sequencing to be effective, which I still am unsure of.

It's a well organized course, great for beginners- full of helpful info. Introduced me to many things new for me like linux bash and win powershell. In my opinion tho, doing the linux part as a separate course and expanding both courses a little bit would be a better idea, or not, am sure u thought of it. Thank you very much👍

The instructor Cindy, typed "enter" immediately after every command line, particularly on Linux, causing the data to fill and the command that was entered to disappear off the screen. This made if very difficult to follow and had to stop the video multiple times to see what she was typing. Other than that, a very good course.

Alot of information to unpack. The course is very informative. Videos of same person over and over can be a little tiresome. The labs/graded assessments sometimes do not operate properly because of continued verification. Nevertheless, overall, the course provides much of what is needed to get a basic understanding of OS's.

This was a tough courese, but very thorough. I wish there were at least 3 additional labs implemented after each week to get the hange of the command lines and powershell. One test is not enough. The teacher Cindy Quach did a great job trying to explain all the technical jargon in the amount of time given for the course.

The course itself is very good! I have learned a lot! Cindy is a very engaging instructor. The problem was with Quicklab's bugs, many times I had to re-do the works because for some reason score for completed assignments was not given. That was very frustrating. Most problems are with Week 6 - Windows lab - VLC upgrade

I struggled with the Linux Graded Assessment. I'm a bit bummed, I should've learned it. On the windows side, I am pleased that I was able to understand Cindy, she's great! I'm nervous for the next Course... But, I got this!

Thank you so much. I really have felt invigorated in learning again.

The course is well thought and quite good overall.

The only flaw that I can think of is, it didn't cover as much in other operating system compare to Windows. There are some Linux (Ubuntu) but other operating system are generally ignored. Even so, Linux (Ubuntu) part was significantly shorted compare to Windows.

Some unclear instructions in the second-to-last graded lab. I didn't know what state the super secret file should've been in. did you want to just add write permissions? did you want to add everything?

otherwise I quite enjoyed entering the VMs to do some more practical things, instead of following quizzes

Overall, great course. You'll learn a lot of new skills here, especially if you are new to IT field, and never have any interactions with Linux before hand. However, there were minor issues that needs to fixed / re-checked, particularly in the Windows-based Graded Assessments (Week 3 + Final Assessment).

Overall great course for beginners or to refresh skills. Some tests have questionable answers, there are typos in some of the transcripts and some of the labs are laggy or won't give credit for correct answers. But hey, computers and software are buggy which is why we took this course in the first place!

In general the course was good, gave me general understanding of the main idea. still requires a lot of practice. i appreciate it that the last lab assignment required more independent work which was a good practice, unlike the other labs that gave a full explanation and the way to answer the question.

Not bad. Great information presented, but seriously lacking in repetition. Powershell vs CMD not properly explained (saw many complaints in forums). Thankfully I had lots of prior experience in terminal and Powershell. This was great reinforcement, but I would not recommend it as an entry level course.

I enjoyed these courses but I have to admit I feel like we are the first people running the google cloud labs as the qwiklabs are sometimes broken and don't function properly. This is discouraging when you only have so much time and I had to do them many times to pass after jumping through many hoops.

I think we could've used a bit more hands on work with the different OS's. The labs are VERY straight forward, and when so much of this process is troubleshooting and figuring out what the best solution to a problem is, it felt like the floor dropped out from under me for the final assessment.

I would like to have had more references for the linux portion. The videos are great, but a reference to the commands would be very helpful. With more reference material, the lab would be more helpful and rewarding. Still a great course I am very thankful to be a part of this effort.

The course was very good. Especially the labs were very informative and helped me in analysing my skills. Also the Linux labs were very interesting. I would request you to put more content in the course. The content present is not so much useful, some advance content is also expected.

You have to practice if you really want to learn with this course, that will prepare you for the final lab. Sometimes while doing the labs, things don't go as planned, so be ready for a few surprises, luckily you can get help from support or come back to it when you better prepared.
