We being our journey into CISSP with Domain 1. Risk management provides the basic starting point for information security. We first determine the value of our assets, the threats and vulnerabilities associated with those assets and the probability and impact of an exploit. Finally, we examine the potential for loss versus the cost of countermeasures to make a decision that provides a positive return on investment for the business.
