Ramya Kumar is an accomplished organizational development and change management professional with over 15 years of experience as a strategic partner and consultant across diverse industries and with global and Fortune 500 organizations in leadership roles with global and country-wide responsibilities. Ramya has a demonstrated track record of successfully designing and implementing several strategic organizational development and large-scale change management initiatives in the areas of learning and leadership development, employee engagement, performance and career management, total rewards, culture, and post-acquisition integration. In her current role as the Associate Director, Executive Education Programs in Change & Consultation at Columbia University, Ramya plays a key role as a strategic partner and researcher in the design, delivery, and evaluation of the Executive Master’s Program in Change Leadership, and actively contributes to developing change leadership competencies in today’s executives via process consultation, instruction, and facilitating integration and application of research insights and frameworks in navigating organizational change challenges through professional development workshops. Ramya has a Master's in Organizational Dynamics from the Univ. of Pennsylvania, a post-graduate diploma in Human Resources Management, and holds SHRM-SCP, Hogan, and PROSCI® certifications. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Psi Chi (the International Honor Society in Psychology), Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Society for Human Resource Management, and Association of Change Management Professionals. Ramya is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Social-Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests include organizational development & change management, leadership development, and systems psychodynamics. Her recent research work focuses on applying a systems psychodynamics approach in examining the role of team dynamics in organizational change readiness in virtual and hybrid teams.
