Ryan is a Research Scientist in CIRES’ Earth Science and Observation Center. His research combines satellite remote sensing with field-based observations to study near surface geophysical changes, such as glacial dynamics, wildfires, landslides, and tsunamis. He has completed more than a dozen field campaigns in Greenland, Alaska, California, and Colorado. Ryan is a curriculum developer for the ADVANCEing FieldSafety team and seeks opportunities to make field experiences more inclusive and accessible.
