Frequently asked questions
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% of marks or equivalent CGPA in any discipline from a recognised university.
- The degree awarded by an institute/university should be recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Candidates with relevant work experience and additional qualifications shall be given preference.
The main difference between a PGDM and an MBA is the institution that offers the programmes. An MBA, or Master in Business Administration, is a degree that universities confer, and only universities can give degrees. A PGDM is a diploma offered by autonomous institutions approved by the AICTE. A PGDM is equivalent to an MBA, and recruiters may look for either when considering hiring candidates.
The eligibility norms for PhD programmes are decided by respective universities and may vary. Candidates who have completed the PGDM Online programme and have been awarded the certificate are eligible to apply for SPJIMR's FPM (Doctoral level) programme.
